The Witcher 2 Serial Number Location
I installed the game and everything, patched it up and then it wants me to enter my serial number for the game, punched that in and hit Activate. It tells me Activation failed, so I try this Manual Activation thing. You got to some website, punch in the serial number and a Unlock Request Code they gave me, this ends up giving me an UnlockCode. So I go to Manual Activation, put the UnlockCode in there, but I can't enter any text into the Serial number slot on this page, and if I try to continue with it empty, it tells me to enter my serial number.
Has anyone experienced this? Am I missing something somewhere? So, I solved my problem anyway. It asks you for your serial number right after you install, and then later after you've patched. My serial number has an O in it, but it's very thin and I'm convinced it's a zero. Anyway, Even if I tried make the ZERO and O after the initial cd key entering, nothing ever worked. It seems like the first time you punch in your cd key, it doesn't check to see if it's real.

So I ended up reinstalling, putting it in as an O this time, and now everything is working. Also, yes it was a retail copy.
