I shut down my computer (The normal way, not the 'hush now, be still' holding down power button way ) last night where all my files and documents were perfectly fine.
This morning I logged onto my administrator account and my desktop was reset as was my theme. My files, documents, music, folders- everything except for my.exe programs were there.
Even internet explorer was back. It was like I logged onto a guest account, but I specifically remember typing in my administrator password- and to boot, when I clicked my start bar- it had my administrator name at the top of it. Panicked and thinking the classical 'Turn it off turn it back on' I held down the power button to shut my computer off, and when it turned back on- everything was back. I run a virus scan at least once a week, as well as Malware Bytes and neither have picked up anything. I'm running them again but I just did so a few days ago. Funny thing (And maybe a wakeup call) When all my files were gone, my computer ran 5x faster.
