Poly Reduction Tool C4d Download
There is the polygon reducer in c4d and the smooth deformer from michael welter, so enough options on that. What I really would like to see is a retopology plugin which makes quads out of anything. This would be really awesome in conjunction with metaballs, which produces a polygon mess.
A retopo plugin wouldn't just make quads. You would have to tell it where to make quads unless you are using 3DCoats auto function. With that said, 3DCoat does a pretty good job. If you don't like 3DCoat then there is also 'Topogun' which has some pretty impressive features coming (you can download a beta of version 2).
I wouldn't wait around for Maxon to implement such feature. Even if they did they would most likely just run after the competition anyways. But what's new on that front. Anyhow, plugin developers are rare in the C4D community so I wouldn't want to wait around for anybody to start something serious either.
